Here’s everything you need to know:
1. What Is the Powering Business Grants Program?
A key component of the $154.2 million Business Growth Fund (formerly the Economic

2. Funding Streams & Grant Amounts
The program features two main funding streams, each aimed at improving operational
efficiency and sustainability:
* Stream 1: Solar and Battery Projects
Includes battery-only or solar-with-battery systems. All equipment must appear on
the Clean Energy Council approved list and be installed by accredited providers.
Note: standalone solar systems are only eligible when paired with battery storage
* Stream 2: Energy Efficiency Projects
Covers up to 50% of the cost of upgrades like lighting retrofits, insulation,
refrigeration, HVAC, and more. A full list of eligible projects is included in the
guidelines.
Grants range from $2,500 to $75,000 (excluding GST), and applicants must contribute at
least 50% matched funding.
